I have started many different blogs over the years. I have always craved a space on the internet that is just my own. I first wrote about travel on my gap year to Germany, and now, I will write about anything health & wellness related. I tried to put myself into a tiny box, but life doesn't work that way. I am embracing my multi-passionate nature this time around.
I love health & wellness, but I also love hiking, traveling, reading, learning, and creating. My health journey started many years ago. I felt weak and sick, and I experienced incredibly debilitating menstrual cramps. Doctors had no answers, so I decided to seek them myself. I love to read, research, and experiment. I used myself as a test subject, (let me help you so you don't have to waste as much time as I did!)
I never got an official diagnosis (although I tried), but I suffered from dysmenorrhea and depression. I write more about this in my Ebook and how I managed my symptoms naturally (no birth control or other pharmaceuticals). It was a long road of experimentation, including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, online courses, every supplement under the sun, trust me - I tried everything!
My passion is for women's health, hormones, nourishing foods, and creating a holistic lifestyle. I advocate eating enough to feel satisfied, living cyclically, and ditching hustle and "boss babe" culture. I enjoy work, but rest is equally as important.
Thank you for being here! If you are curious about my official qualifications, I am a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN). I studied at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, where I received a diploma in Natural Nutrition and a Holistic Culinary certificate. I also have a bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am interested in physical, mental, and spiritual health. I do writing, graphic design, and nutrition!
A little bit more about me!
I am really into personalities; I am an INFP and an Enneagram 4. My core values are feeling understood, freedom, integrity, and authenticity. I don't like to fit into a crowd, and I have few friendships that are very deep and connected.
I have traveled to over 27+ countries, mainly solo! I love to travel. I also lived abroad in Germany for many years and can speak German pretty well. Most recently I spent 6 months traveling all over Mexico with my boyfriend.
One of the biggest things that made a difference in my health was herbs. I studied herbalism through the Herbal Academy, and this will be a life-long learning process for me. My favorite herbs right now are oatstraw and raspberry leaf. I like to make infusions often!
I wrote a 45-page eBook on my healing journey, and what worked best for me. If you want to purchase it and support me, I'd be grateful. You can send it to anybody you know experiencing any hormonal issues.
Thanks for coming to my little corner of the internet! I look forward to interacting with you. Feel free to send me an email.
Love, Emily
